Cantey Tech Consulting Acquires SmartTech Consulting

Charleston, SC – April 22, 2025. Cantey Tech Consulting, a leading IT managed service provider
(“MSP”) for small and mid-sized businesses in the southeast United States, has acquired the assets of
SmartTech Consulting, a Boiling Springs, South Carolina-based provider of IT managed services.

The addition of SmartTech to Cantey Tech, which is based in Charleston, South Carolina, cements
the combined business as a leading provider of IT MSP services in the Carolinas and continues its
growth strategy across the southeast. The transaction will provide SmartTech’s clients with additional
service capabilities, particularly in the areas of security, more resources, and a deeper knowledge base
from Cantey Tech’s 120+ employees. This is Cantey Tech’s fourth acquisition, following transactions
that expanded the company to south Florida (Ft. Lauderdale), southeast Virginia (Roanoke), and
upstate South Carolina (Spartanburg).
