Meet the Team

Bo Blair is an Associate at LNC Partners. His primary responsibilities include analyzing and executing new investments and monitoring portfolio companies.

Prior to joining LNC in 2024, Mr. Blair worked at Grant Thornton LLP, as an Associate in the Financial Due Diligence group within Transaction Advisory. While at Grant Thornton, Mr. Blair advised on several acquisitions and divestitures across a multitude of industries.

Charlotte Castronovo is an Associate at LNC Partners. Her primary responsibilities include analyzing and executing new investments and monitoring portfolio companies.

Prior to joining LNC in 2022, Ms. Castronovo was an Associate of investor relations at Lexington Partners where she was primarily engaged in secondary fund performance analytics and tracking. Prior to Lexington Partners, Ms. Castronovo began her career as an Analyst in Valuation Advisory Services at Duff & Phelps. She is a CFA charterholder.

Kevin Cunningham is a Partner at LNC Partners. Mr. Cunningham has been working with private companies as an investor since 2003. His significant tenure as a control equity sponsor, minority/growth equity investor, and lender has provided substantial experience working with companies across a broad range of business models and stages of development. Mr. Cunningham is focused on investing in tech-enabled business services companies in the HR, healthcare, education, insurance, and standards management (e.g. compliance, testing, inspection, certification, calibration, benchmarking) industries.

Prior to joining LNC in 2014, Mr. Cunningham spent 7 years at Allied Capital Corporation (and its successor through acquisition, Ares Management), a private equity and debt investment firm. Before joining Allied in 2007, Mr. Cunningham was an Associate at BancBoston Capital in its middle-market buyout group. Mr. Cunningham began his career as an Analyst at Thomas Weisel Partners, where he worked on private equity, M&A, and capital raising transactions.

Jon Felsher is a Principal at LNC Partners. He has been working with private companies across a variety of industries since 2010. His responsibilities at LNC include originating, analyzing, and executing new investment opportunities, and management oversight of portfolio investments.

Prior to joining LNC in 2014, Mr. Felsher was a Senior Associate in the Transaction Services-Financial Due Diligence group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he evaluated and advised on numerous transactions across a broad range of industries. He is a CFA charterholder and became a licensed CPA in 2011 (license is currently inactive).

Garin Friedman is an Associate at LNC Partners. His primary responsibilities include analyzing and executing new investments and monitoring portfolio companies.

Prior to joining LNC in 2024, Mr. Friedman worked at Edgemont Partners, as an investment banking Senior Analyst. While at Edgemont, Mr. Friedman advised on several sell-side and buy-side mandates across the healthcare sector.

Charlie Grube is an Associate at LNC Partners. His primary responsibilities include analyzing and executing new investments and monitoring portfolio companies.

Prior to joining LNC in 2024, Mr. Grube worked at Moelis & Co. as an Analyst in the technology investment banking group. While at Moelis & Co., Mr. Grube advised on several M&A acquisition and sale processes across the technology sector.

Dan Higgins is a Partner and the Chief Financial Officer at LNC Partners. Mr. Higgins has significant experience investing in private companies as a control equity sponsor, minority/growth equity investor, and as a lender. He has served as a director and active Board observer with multiple companies across a broad range of industries, including financial services, software and transaction processing, and equipment maintenance and repair. In these positions, Mr. Higgins has taken a hands-on role in supporting portfolio company growth by sourcing acquisitions, improving business processes, and supporting M&A execution and capital raising.

In addition, Mr. Higgins is responsible for LNC’s investor reporting, accounting, tax, and SEC compliance.

Prior to joining LNC in 2011, Mr. Higgins was a Vice President at Allied Capital Corporation and a Senior Associate in the Transaction Advisory Services Group at Ernst & Young LLP. He began his career in the Corporate Tax Group of Arthur Andersen LLP.

Matt Kelty is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of LNC Partners. He has focused on private company investments since 2000 as a control equity sponsor, a minority equity investor, and also as a lender to these companies. He has served as a chairman, director, or active observer on the boards of companies across a broad range of industries including (but not limited to) insurance, business services, and logistics. In these positions, Mr. Kelty has played a hands-on role in supporting portfolio company growth by sourcing acquisitions, improving business processes, and supporting M&A execution and capital raising.

Prior to co-founding LNC, Mr. Kelty spent 6 years with Allied Capital Corporation rising from an Associate to Principal and served as member of the Investment Committee. During his tenure at Allied, he sourced and executed numerous buyout and debt transactions and also led the development of a niche industry practice focused on insurance services. Before joining Allied in 2004, Mr. Kelty was an Associate at Blue Point Capital Partners in Cleveland, OH, where he executed numerous middle market buyout transactions. He began his career at Lehman Brothers in their Fixed Income Division in New York.

Justin McCarthy is a Senior Associate at LNC Partners. His primary responsibilities include analyzing and executing new investments and monitoring portfolio companies.

Prior to joining LNC in 2021, Mr. McCarthy worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as a Senior Consultant on the Corporate Development & Strategy team, advising on strategic investments, acquisitions, and divestitures. He began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at M. Klein and Company.

Robert Monk is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of LNC Partners. He has invested in small private companies for 28 years as a control equity sponsor, minority equity investor and mezzanine lender and has served as a chairman or director on the boards of 10 companies and as an active observer on the boards of more than 20 companies. Over his years providing smaller enterprises with capital and advice, Mr. Monk gained valuable insight into how best to support entrepreneurs seeking to create market-leaders in their respective industries.

Prior to co-founding LNC, Mr. Monk spent 17 years with Allied Capital Corporation, rising from an Analyst to Managing Director and Member of the Investment and Strategic Management Committees. During his tenure at Allied, he led the firm’s offices in San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles before returning to its headquarters in Washington, DC. Mr. Monk began his career at First Union National Bank in Charlotte, NC.

Eugene Park is a Principal at LNC Partners. Mr. Park has partnered with private companies as an investor since 2004 as a control equity sponsor, a minority/growth equity investor, a strategic investor, and as a lender. He has served as a director and active Board observer with multiple companies, partnering closely with management teams to help drive growth. In addition to his experience across several industry sectors, Mr. Park has deep healthcare expertise, with nearly a decade of investing and operating experience in the payer, provider, health IT, and tech-enabled service segments of the industry.

Prior to joining LNC in 2019, Mr. Park spent 4 years as a Principal at Hughes & Company Investment Partners, a healthcare-focused growth equity firm. He previously spent 3 years working in strategic investing capacities at healthcare firms Anthem (previously WellPoint) and The Advisory Board Company. Mr. Park began his investing career at Allied Capital Corporation, working with the founding partners of LNC for 6 years during his tenure. Prior to joining Allied Capital, he was as an Analyst in the healthcare investment banking group at Deutsche Bank Securities.

Mark Raterman is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of LNC Partners. He has partnered with and invested in private companies for over 25 years as a control equity sponsor, as a minority equity investor, and as a lender. He has served as a chairman or director on the boards of 9 companies and as an active observer on numerous other company boards. Throughout his career, Mr. Raterman has collaborated with portfolio companies across a broad range of industries, providing growth capital, sourcing and executing add-on acquisitions, raising capital, and improving business processes.

Prior to co-founding LNC, Mr. Raterman was a Managing Director at Ares Management and spent a total of 9 years at Ares and Allied Capital Corporation (acquired by Ares). While at Allied Capital, he also served as a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Raterman began his career at Chase Securities (JP Morgan), primarily focusing on raising and investing junior debt capital. He is currently a member of YPO Gold.

Prior to joining LNC in 2019, Mr. Schmoeller worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, as a Manager in the Financial Due Diligence group within Transaction Services. While there, he advised on a variety of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as on financial and commercial diligence projects across a multitude of industries.
